Okay, so I just heard this crazy news and I had to share! Apparently, Lies of P, that awesome game everyone’s been raving about, is getting the boot from Xbox Game Pass this weekend! I know, right? Total bummer. For those who don’t know, Lies of P is this seriously cool Soulslike game that puts a dark, twisted spin on the classic Pinocchio story. Imagine Pinocchio, but instead of a wooden puppet, he’s a metal dude in a creepy, mechanical world filled with killer puppets and all sorts of unsettling stuff. It’s got that whole challenging, rewarding gameplay that Soulslike fans love, but with a unique Pinocchio twist!
I mean, I’ve only seen trailers, but it looks seriously stylish. The whole aesthetic is dark and gothic; think Victorian-era steampunk gone wrong. The environments look incredibly detailed and atmospheric, and the combat seems intense and strategic, just the way I like it. They’ve really captured the feel of a classic soulslike game, but with a completely fresh story and world. It’s not just the grim setting, though; the combat seems incredibly deep and rewarding – and totally brutal.
The thing is, it’s been on Xbox Game Pass since it came out – a “day one” release, which is pretty sweet. That means people subscribed to Game Pass could play it without paying extra. But now it’s leaving! I’ve been meaning to try it for ages, and this news is giving me a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out)! I guess I’ll have to finally bite the bullet and actually play it!
